We start many of these articles about cards the same way — there are a lot of cards to choose from, it’s confusing, we all have different needs and finding the right cards and spending the points wisely can lead to paralysis. We know how it goes!
Making the right card choices can be the difference between taking your family on multiple trips a year or scrolling through social media with FOMO at the trips others are taking.
There are very few cards on the market that have an excellent earning structure, no annual fee AND a high welcome bonus.
Which one is our favorite?
Read on to find out!
The Card:
The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card
The Welcome Offer:
Earn 75,000 points ($750 bonus cash back) after spending $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
It’s not actually just cash back! This card is advertised as a cash back card meaning the rewards and welcome bonus appear to be delivered as cash back. The bonus and rewards actually will come to you as points which can then be applied as a statement credit for the cash value of one cent per point OR can become transferable points.
How to convert these to transferable points? If you have one of the cards that unlocks the ability to transfer points out to partners such as The Chase Sapphire Preferred® or The Chase Sapphire Reserve®, the points you earn from this card can be combined with your Chase Ultimate Rewards points and transferred out to book hotels and flights directly.
So, while this is in and of itself a “cash back” card, when combined with the #1 card for travel, The Sapphire, the 75,000 points can be worth significantly more than $750!
The Earning Structure
The major benefit of this card’s earning structure is the uncapped 1.5x back on all eligible purchases. By choosing to use this card over a business card that earns 1x on everyday purchases, you’ll be earning 50% more in points. Over the course of a year, that’s tremendous!
The details:
Earn 1.5x (1.5%) back on all eligible purchases with no cap on the earnings
Earn 5x points (5% cash back) on Lyft rides (through September 2027)
Primary rental car collision and damage waiver coverage
Lost luggage insurance of up to $3,000 per person per trip
Add employee cards at no additional cost
Foreign Transaction Fee: 3% of the amount of each transaction in U.S. dollars
Annual Fee: $0
Between the Ink Unlimited having no fee, the 1.5x on everyday business purchases and the excellent welcome bonus, the card is one of the smartest ways to let your business (including your side hustle!) fuel your family’s adventures.
